Trait Overview
A snapshot in time documents our crypto history in every Alien Ordinal.
Each ordinal is connected to a Power Block which will assign you a frame of an animation story.
The ordinal will contain these major attributes:
Sun or Moon
Alien Spaceship
Tractor Beam
Research Specimen
Home Planet
Star Field
The Bitcoin Halving
The Bitcoin Rewards Halving occurs every 210000 blocks. This provides a natural timeframe to tell a story.
Sun and Moon
For the first half of each halving a Sun will be in the sky
Only when the sun is visible, if the Power Block has a block ending in 0, a Bitcoin Symbol will be in the sky
For the second half of each halving, a Moon will be in the sky
Alien Spaceship
A series of spaceships represents each halving. After X Halvings, the spaceship rotation will start again at the first spaceship.
Some spaceships are not released until future halvings. To capture those, you must keep searching for Power Blocks.
Tractor Beam
Each spaceship will capture a Research Specimen using a Tractor Beam. The type of Tractor Beam will depend on the Power Block.
Research Specimen
Aliens do not seek the same things humans seek. Aliens will take anything they want to learn about
Some Specimens are only available at certain times. For example, Satoshi is only available until his disappearance. Other Specimens appear after certain events. For example, Apes only appear after a famous NFT collection arrived on-chain. The Deathstar goes away for a while and then strikes back.
Limited edition specimens like the dollar are eliminated to symbolize the temporary nature of fiat currencies. Mining Picks and Power Plants disappear later to symbolize an increase in mining difficulty and a trend towards cleaner power sources.
For the real connoisseur, there will be super rare attributes too. Imagine picking up an art piece where the famous 10,000 BTC Pizza event, or Satoshi's disappearance.
Collectors aiming to collect rares can consider the limited nature of the above specimens. As more power blocks are found, the limited editions become more and more limited on a percentage basis.
Aliens are interested in specimens including: Dog, Cat, Dead Bear, Bull, Chicken, Alien, Baby Bottle, APE, Penguin, Beer, Coffee, Shark, Whale, Fish, Dragon, X, Power Plant, Mining Pick, Gas Pump, Moon, Earth, Dog Bone, Gold Bar, Airplane, Diamond, Book
Home Planet
The Home Planet changes in distance depending on the time past after a halving. At each halving, the Home Planet changes in appearance to celebrate the halving.
